I have worked with many populations in my career but I have spent the last 10 years working with the elderly who struggle with depression, anxiety and the challenges of aging with mental illness.
What Guides Your Work?
Oftentimes when I meet clients for the first time, they feel insecure, vulnerable, and anxious so my goal is to make them feel comfortable and open to receiving assistance.
What Makes Your Support Effective?
As an assessor I strive to be an empathetic, non-judgmental, and caring listener which allows clients to share what are often times sensitive, difficult, and sometimes traumatic events in their lives.
